Spend a day visiting Taransay – where the reality TV show Castaway 2000 was filmed- to experience somewhere truly remote and wild – it’s a must-see place in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland.
Visitors can roam freely across the 3,800 acres of Britain’s largest uninhabited island.
Trips will run regularly during the summer months.
All sailings will be weather dependent.
The vessel will leave from Horgabost Beach starting from 0900, with 8-10 passengers per passage depending on the vessel. Times may vary depending on the tide. Changes to the departure point will be advised when booking.
The crossing takes approximately 10-20 minutes depending on the vessel used.
Entry to the island will be at Paible, the main settlement area on Taransay.
Return trips will commence from around 1500 or as advised by the skipper for that sailing.
Pets are not permitted on sailings.
